Every time I pick up my camera, I’m excited; excited to capture each unique moment, from the small and ordinary, to the grand and once in a lifetime. My photography is how I speak. Every opportunity to shoot a wedding, a family, first love, the ocean or countryside is an opportunity for me to create art.

I believe that love is a profound gift from God, so I’m passionate about capturing it in all its forms: the love of a family for each other, a mother and her unborn child, or a newly engaged couple.

I am based out of Williamsburg, VA but I travel all over, from New England to Florida and beyond.

I grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts, a beautiful ocean-front landscape that encouraged me to pursue my passions. I frequented return to the region to visit family, for destination weddings, and for special photo shoots. I now live in Virginia, where I share my artistic passion with my husband and creative partner, Peter, and our two boys, Jameson and Nathan. Together we’re “PBNJ,” and we’re always traveling to find new and unique moments to capture.

Professional Philosophy

I believe in capturing life’s moments naturally. When asked “what’s your style?” I think that can be summed up in one word: “natural.” I believe in capturing moments as they happen organically, without relying on stiff poses. I believe in keeping Photoshop to a minimum, because I believe our uniqueness makes us special, and our differences make us beautiful.

A big part of that is making you comfortable and relaxed. I love capturing the moments that happen when you are just being yourself.

Fun facts

When I’m not taking pictures, you can typically find me enjoying this new adventure of motherhood, perusing local antique shops and flea markets, curled up on the couch reading to our son, or watching a Netflix marathon after he finally falls asleep.

All time favorite movies: Amelie & Moonrise Kingdom.

Favorite TV shows: Fixer Upper, Parks and Recreation, Downton Abbey and Gilmore Girls.

Favorite music: City and Colour, The Civil Wars, Ingrid Michelson, Ray LaMontagne, or my husband 😉

Random obsessions (other than photography): sushi, succulents, Disney World and Dole Whips, and collecting vintage cameras (I started as a kid with my Dad and haven’t stopped since).

Photographic inspirations: Dorothea Lange, Vivian Maier, Ansel Adams, Jeremy Cowart, and Annie Leibovitz.
